Kids Camp

If you are interested in enrolling your child(ren) for camp, please fill out our very brief questionnaire! Return it with your deposit to: Sew and Show, 401 North Avenue, Garwood, NJ 07027 (note: this deposit may be excluded if you choose to buy a class via online payment; just click a "Buy Now" button below under the class your child is interested in). Stop by during our hours of operation to deliver your completed questionnaire, mail it in, or just put it in our mail slot during our off hours. You can download it here: Word Doc / PDF File.

Kids & Teen Hand Sewing Workshop

2 sessions, 2 hours each.
Class for ages 8 and up.
Class fee includes supplies.

This class teaches basic hand stitching using needle, thread, and felt. Kids and teens will learn various basic and complex stitches along with how to sew on buttons! Students will also learn decorative embroidery stitches and work on a project. (View scheduling times and availability.)

Kids & Teens Machine Sewing Camp Workshop 101

$22.00 - 2 hour session.
1 session class for ages 8 and up.
$22 class fee includes supplies.

This two-hour class is designed for children and teens that have never sewn on a machine but would like to learn. This class is also the prerequisite to Kids and Teens Sewing 102. Kids will learn basic sewing skills, including how to sew straight, turning corners and sewing on a curve, and using the machine correctly and will learn about sewing safety, all while completing a simple project they keep! Kids & Teens Machine Sewing Camp Workshop 102

4 session class for kids ages 8 and up.
$107 class fee plus supplies.

Kids will learn fundamental sewing skills as they make a simple garment! Young sewers will learn how to take their measurements, read a pattern envelope and pattern instructions, handle fabric, use tools, and follow and cut a pattern along with construction and finishing techniques. Threading the sewing machine, winding the bobbin, and learning about machine safety and how to use the machine are also reviewed. Fabric, elastic, and thread will be purchased at the end of the first class. Price range depends on the fabric selected. All fabrics are priced per yard. Registration

• All registrations are processed in the order received and must be accompanied by full payment.


• You may register for classes in person, by mail, or by phone. If you register by phone, you must send or hand-deliver payment. The payment must be received in three business days to continue reserving your place.


• To register by phone, call Sew & Show at (908) 789-2115.


• To register by mail, please send your name, contact information, and 1st, 2nd, and 3rd choice of scheduling with your payment to:

Cancellation Policy

• You may withdraw from a class by phone, email, or regular mail. You will receive a refund less a $15 processing fee if Sew & Show receives notice at least one week before the class or lesson is scheduled to begin.


• If you give notice less than one week before the class or lesson begins, your charge will be refunded only if the class is full and someone on the waiting list can take your place. The $15 processing fee is still applicable.


• Sew & Show reserves the right to cancel any class due to insufficient enrollment. If a class is cancelled, you will be notified, given the option to reschedule, or receive a full refund.
